When your loved one is sick and in the hospital, the last thing you want to think about is where your next meal will come from, how you will wear clean clothes, or if you will sleep in a warm bed tonight. The only thing on your mind is your wife...your brother...your child.
At the Family Houses at UC San Diego Health, our mission is to provide a home away from home for families of patients undergoing critical or long-term care at UC San Diego Health. We are here to make a tough situation a little bit easier for our families by easing their minds and providing a warm bed, a meal, and a community of support.
For over 29 years, Bannister Family House and La Jolla Family House have been a haven of hope and comfort. We have welcomed thousands of families from all over the world and the need keeps growing.
