More than 150 scientists are working every day in our labs and around the world, pursuing a healthier planet and studying the millions of objects in our collections, which span the full spectrum of the natural sciences.
The Field Museum's Negaunee Integrative Research Center and Gantz Family Collections Center are at the leading edge of scientific research, conducting research in our labs and around the globe to answer key questions about our world and heritage.

They rely on the Museum’s 40 million artifacts and specimens—only 1% of which are on public display—to answer fundamental questions about our planet, its life, and its cultures. From Antarctic dinosaurs to Peruvian plants, from Inuit masks to Tanzanian mammals, our collections are the real, concrete evidence of the wonder of life on Earth.

The Field Museum brings science to life for people of all ages.
