Our mission at Fighting H.A.R.D. Foundation is to help children who have a rare disease or chronic illness to know they are not alone.
We support children and families impacted by rare diseases primarily in Monmouth and Ocean counties in central New Jersey but do send care packages all across the country.
We work to accomplish our mission by not only raising awareness and sending care packages, but also...
- Purchasing medical necessities not covered by insurance as they are often considered expirimental
- Covering expenses for families who need to travel across the country for specialized care
- Sending a family's favorite dinner after a long day of treatment or an extended hospital stay
- Hosting fun events where our rare kiddos can connect with one another to know they are not alone
- Holding regular support group meetings for Fighting H.A.R.D. kids, teens, and "rarents"
- Offering Child Life Services to help families manage ongoing challenges of chronic illness
- Supporting advances in care, policy, and research for rare diseases.
