As a retired firefighter (2015) I founded Firefighter Behavioral Health Alliance (FBHA) in 2010 due to those brothers and sisters who were still struggling with their response to Hurricanne Katrina. In 2007, I went back to school for my Master's in Counseling. I founded Counseling Services for Fire Fighters in 2009 to train counselors and chaplains who wanted to work with firefighters. I began receiving emails and phone calls from all over the world wondering if we did anything about firefighter suicides. In 2010, FBHA began tracking and validating these tragic events. To date, I have validated 1890 FF and EMS suicides. I have traveled over 900,000 air miles the past ten years educating and providing local resources for members and their families. We hold an annual weekend retreat for family survivors. In May of 2023, it will be our 9th annual retreat. We have been recognized by Congress and the Governor's office in Nevada for our work yet we have a difficult time finding donations due to the subject matter being behavioral health and suicide.

We are looking for your help so we can raise funds for our weekend retreat by providing travel expenses money for the families. FBHA provides everything else but due to the lack of funds in our budget we just can't pay for travel.

We would appreciate any assistance you can provide.

Thank you.
