It is the mission of Christian Nursery School to provide a safe and nurturing environment for children 2 years through 5 years of age. Children are encouraged to grow and learn at their own rate through developmental, hands-on activities. A child’s play is believed to be the foundation for meaningful, early learning experiences. Our mission comes to light through the joint efforts of First Christian Church of North Hollywood, our CNS Council, a strong parent partnership and the dedication of our Christian Nursery School staff. We believe that all children deserve love, guidance and respect for their individuality. We believe that children learn and grow to their fullest potential in an environment that supports their spiritual, physical, social, emotional and cognitive development. We believe that children learn about themselves and the world around them through meaningful interactive experiences. Our classrooms as well as outdoor areas are child-oriented and designed to encourage exploration and discovery. We strive to give children a rich knowledge base while encouraging language and listening skills, developing self-help skills, promoting positive interactions, and a healthy self-image. CNS children will find here a safe place to express their thoughts and feelings, use their creativity and imaginations and begin a life-long love of learning.
