The Florence Area Literacy Council is a private non-profit Adult Education School that his served the Florence County Community since 1976. We provide basic read and math skills and assist adult learns in earning a High School Equivalency Diploma. We also teach basic skills upgrades to adult learners who have diploma's but are needing a skills upgrade or refresher in order to obtain a job promotion. We also support adult learners that cannot read by providing 1 to 1 tutoring. We are a member of the United Way and receive funding from the SC State Department of Education.
