About Flowers For Ann
Hi! I'm Sydney
My grandmother, Ann, taught me how to live life in full bloom. Watching how she lived in spite of Huntington's disease was so inspiring! When she had to move into an assisted living facility and later a nursing home, my visits with her became more precious. I saw first hand how isolating it could be for some residents. When the COVID19 Pandemic closed visiting hours to nursing homes, it was easy to feel helpless. My heart grew especially heavy when Ann passed away in 2020 and we all felt the effects of isolation. But if there was one thing I learned from Ann it was you never stop fighting and you never stop smiling. Flowers For Ann was born to take up this fight against isolation and honor all of our sweet friends in nursing homes.
