FOCUS Center for Autism, located in Canton, Connecticut, is committed to developing a continuum of care to
help children and adults with autism achieve their full potential. Currently, FOCUS offers a state approved special education program, the Fresh Start School, for children ages 10-22 with autism. Our Adult Support Service Program offers daily online groups and in-person gatherings for individuals with autism ages 21+. Parent Support Group is offered twice weekly and led by a parent with years of experience. In addition, we operate three clinically supported residential programs for adolescents and adults diagnosed with autism and who have histories of trauma, abuse and mental health issues. Programs include a DCF program for up to five adolescent males, a DMHAS program for six young adults, and an independent living apartment. The FOCUS Autism Spectrum Unplugged Panel, workshops, and consultations are available for businesses, schools, and other community organizations to educate and spread autism awareness and acceptance.
