The Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office is celebrating the second week of April (April 10-16, 2022) as National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week. This week honors the men and women who handle emergency calls, dispatch emergency professionals and equipment, and render life-saving assistance to the citizens of Forsyth County.

Dispatching is a stressful job, and this is our week to feel loved, acknowledged, and appreciated. It helps boost morale throughout our center when we know the community supports us. Generally, we try to arrange meals for each shift for the week (14 meals total, with 4-6 on a shift). In addition, we try to have snacks available throughout the week. I am reaching out to you today to see if your company would consider donating items or gift cards to be used as prizes/gifts for contests throughout the week as we have theme days, and those who participate are entered into a drawing for a prize.

The importance of recognizing and celebrating the hard work of these dedicated professionals at every level is immeasurable. If your business is willing to donate any food or items, please reach out to me at the below email address or phone number. In addition, I can happily provide you with a tax-exempt letter for your records if needed.

We thank you for your support.

Respectfully,
