The Fort Hunt PTA's mission is to make every child's potential a reality by engaging and empowering families and communities to advocate for all children.
Our PTA's goals are:
To promote the welfare of children and youth in home, school and community;
To raise the standards of home life;
To secure adequate laws for the care and protection of children and youth; and
To develop between educators and the general public such united efforts as will secure for all children and youth the highest advantages in physical, mental, social, and spiritual education
The PTA also coordinates Fort Hunt’s Care and Share program, which provides weekend and holiday meal backpacks to food insecure families in the Fort Hunt community. Thirty-five percent (35%) of our students qualify for the free and reduced-priced lunch program, and your support helps us provide meals, supplies, and free event tickets to 40+ students and their families each year.
