Forward Strides 4 NF, Inc is a small, non-profit organization created by my sister, Gina Wilburn.  Her husband Alex and daughter Lexi both have NF1.  Gina holds an event each fall in Valley Park, MO called Forward Strides 4 NF: Walking for Awareness, Racing Towards a Cure.  All proceeds from the event are donated to Washington University's NF Department.  

 

Washington University NF Center is led by Dr. David H. Gutmann, MD, PhD, a clinician-scientist and internationally-renowned NF specialist with over 25 years of experience caring for individuals with NF.  

As a clinician, Dr. Gutmann is committed to improving the lives of his patients through a multidisciplinary approach.  He creates an inclusive environment and encourages communication between all care providers involved in the treatment of patients with NF1, in order to provide the most comprehensive and patient-centered care.
