Established in 2013, Foster Arizona’s mission is to educate, encourage and empower Arizonans to have a positive impact on the lives of kids in foster care and those aging out of the foster care system. Its vision is that every child in Arizona's foster care system will be empowered, supported, and have the opportunity to enrich their lives through intentional community connections.

Through Foster Arizona, its programs directly impact more than 1,800 foster care youth through, including those who have aged out of the Arizona foster care system, annually. For eight years, Foster Arizona’s programs positively impact the youth through its core programs:

· Kid Connections Initiative: The program aspires to make a multi-targeted impact, striving to benefit not only the thousands of kids in foster care but also hundreds of members of our own community who have the opportunity to connect with foster children and youth in a normalized environment. The impact is profound, yet the strategy is simple. The kids get the chance to be, well, kids.

· Housing Project: The program is a 26-bed transitional housing system that provides basic needs, life sufficiency skills, and a safety net for youth during the transition to adulthood. The program provides supplementary support to its participants with mentors, educational opportunities, ongoing career exploration, and development to aid in housing participants' personal and financial stability and self-sufficiency. The program serves young adults, ages 18-to-24, who are aging out of the Arizona foster care system or are on the verge of becoming homeless. The majority of participants come to our program from group home placements or are homeless or housing insecure.

· Foster Cooperative (coming soon): This program is an online portal comprised of community resources, videos from subject experts, and other invaluable resources for champions of foster and adoptive children, including the at-risk youth population.

The organization primarily serves Maricopa, Pima, and Pinal County.
