By way of background the Fowler School has not had an active PTO for the middle school in many years, and as such the kids and teacher have lost out on the many benefits having a PTO has. As a newly formed group we are literally starting from scratch and trying to build an organization that will thrive and benefit kids for many years to come. Here are some quick facts as to the benefits of having a PTO program in our schools can have on its school and community members:
· School Upgrades - We ensure a safe and technologically updated environment for students to learn, grow and play, not only with each other but with their minds as well.
· School Programs – We attend to the needs and growth of all children through specialized programs, enrichment programs and field trips.
· School Events and Fundraisers – We raise money, foster parent involvement, and create memories for the school community through various events and fundraisers throughout the year.
· Teacher/Staff Support – We promote that happy teachers and staff benefit the students greatly through appreciation events, supply drives and staff morale luncheons.
· School Marketing/ Recruitment – We make connections and grow our community through our newly launched website, social media posts, community outreach events
