Foxy's Cradle is the only rescue in the Lehigh Valley and surrounding counties that takes in kittens age newborn-6 weeks or special exceptions would be kittens needing extra medical care. We have a maternity suite that provides a safe place for mothers to raise their kittens if a full litter with a mom is found. We offer educational seminars to today's youth about the care these little ones require and responsible pet ownership. Our rescue attends many public events to increase public awareness.
We intake kittens in various ways. The most obvious would be a member of our community calling us directly. We are available 24/7 365 days per year. We also make ourselves available to ALL area animal shelters, rescues and vets primarily within the 6 neighboring counties who may receive a neonate and may not have a bottlefeeder, available incubators, or funds to medically provide to the newborns.
Neonatal kittens are among the highest euthanized group of animals that come to shelters. The reason is they require around the clock specialty care. Our rescue's purpose is to complete the necessary care of this precious high-risk group of animals who are orphaned throughout the tri-state area. Our dedicated team of volunteers, which is growing by leaps and bounds, provide these babies with intensive care, around the clock feedings, and medical treatment, until they are of adoption age where we complete our process of finding them loving homes.
