The FDES PTA (Parent Teacher Association) is composed of parents that want to be involved and give back to the school faculty that work tirelessly to educate the next generation. Our fundraising and community support efforts are crucial to the success of the school. Money raised throughout the year from fundraising events like this go towards:
Educational Support
o Field Trip assistance
o Grade level science support (like 2nd grade butterflies, 5th grade owl pellets, and other grade level large projects)
o Staff and Specialist Grants for classroom needs to enhance the learning atmosphere -such as positive behavioral reinforcement educational resources and technology equipment
Staff Support
o Teacher luncheons
o School appreciation days throughout the year to include teachers, administration, custodians, bus drivers, nurses, and school counselors
Large Purchases
o Laminator and associated materials
o Our amazing Garden Lab!
