Friends of Bonham is an independent non- profit 501(c)3 organization that supports Bonham Academy, a Title I school nestled in the heart of Southtown, San Antonio. Serving the community since 1889, Bonham is a kindergarten through 8th grade dual language, fine arts, and environmental science focused school. Its dual language program is one of the oldest in the city, and the school currently serves over 650 students.
The mission of the Friends of Bonham is to support Bonham Academy by bringing together neighborhood and community partners to enhance educational opportunities for its students and teachers. Working with the Bonham administration, the Friends identify priorities for each academic year and work towards those goals through fundraising events and seeking outside grant support.
