We are a no-kill non profit 501C3 all cat shelter established in 1929, housing up to 300 cats at a time, we have a population of adoptable, special needs/medical needs, feral, and FIV/FELV positive cats(we are the only shelter in southern California with a living population of these cats). Our population comes from owner relinquished pets as well as transfers from other high kill area shelters. As a true no-kill we never euthanize for any reason other to humanely end suffering. We always take our adopted cats back if the new owner find they can no longer care for them, even if our cats are out of state.
Our mission statement is: To maintain a shelter for homeless and unwanted cats with the goal of placing all healthy cats into loving, adoptive homes while providing a sanctuary for cats that are terminally ill, considered unadoptable, or whose owners have prearranged their continued lifetime care. In a nurturing, rehabilitative environment, we ensure the health of call cats entrusted to our care, promote spaying and neutering, and resort to euthanasia only as a matter of compassion for cats whose terminal illness causes suffering.
