Friends of Drummond (FOD) is a 501(c)(3) parent-run organization whose sole mission is to raise money to support Drummond Montessori School. We accomplish this by developing, marketing and managing fundraising events and activities. Our needs continue to grow as we face a major challenge, but with your generous support FOD is dedicated to ensuring the programs, people and PTO community events that make Drummond special.
Drummond Montessori is a unique CPS magnet school that has been educating students using the philosophy of Dr. Maria Montessori for 15 years. Students are encouraged to become independent learners, critical thinkers and active members of our global society. Drummond provides a free Montessori education--that is typically only in private schools.
As a CPS school, Drummond Montessori has to deal with a dwindling school budget, and the uncertainty of whether we will be able to fund the resources needed to provide our children with the quality education they deserve.
