The Friends of the Etowah Carnegie Library was established in the summer of 2010. Our Friends group is a voluntary community organization dedicated to supporting the Etowah Carnegie Library. The sole purpose of the Friends of the Etowah Carnegie Library is to support the library......our sole support is from your membership dues and donations.

What do the Friends do?

The Friends are a 501(c)3 non-profit community-supported group that enhances library services and facilities through activities beyond the scope of the library's regular budget through fundraising, volunteerism, and raising the community profile of the library.

What have the Friends done?

The Friends sponsor the Summer Reading Programs, help fund the Handicap Accessible Lift, purchase new book stacks, new computer carrels, digitized copies of the Etowah Enterprise newspaper for patron use, provide a coffee bar, sponsor the historical marker, and more.
