Friends of La Jolla Elementary, Inc. is the fundraising entity for La Jolla Elementary School, a public elementary school in La Jolla, CA. We are a non-profit organization that benefits the children of LJES. Our mission is to enhance and enrich the education of each child at the school.
Powered by donations, together we are able to pay for the following instructional enrichments:
- Additional classroom teachers to reduce class size
- Instructional support teachers to work with students in small groups
- Enrichment programs: staffing and materials for music, art, technology, and dance/theater rotation
- Robotics units in classrooms for K-5
- Everyday Mathematics curriculum
- Lunch and recess supervisory staff, including YMCA Playground Partners
- Technology enchancements
- Campus improvements
- Classroom supplies and educational resources for each teacher
