FRIENDS OF LACES is a registered 501(c)(3), non-profit organization that raises money for our children’s school, LACES—the LOS ANGELES CENTER FOR ENRICHED STUDIES—a Los Angeles Unified School District magnet school. Our school serves over 1400 students in grades 6-12 from diverse academic, ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds.
LACES has consistently ranked in the top tier of all public schools in our city and the nation. As funds are limited for all LAUSD public schools, parents and friends must raise money for campus aides and community reps, arts departments (theater, film, music, choir, culinary arts), college counseling support, school improvements, technology support and teacher training.
