Friends of Mitchell is the 501c(3) organization charged with supporting Mitchell School. Through donations from friends, families and neighborhood businesses, Friends of Mitchell supports enrichment programs such as Hubbard Street Dance for all grades, access to 21st century technology in every classroom, field trips, and more.

Mitchell Elementary School is a high performing public school located in Chicago’s West Town neighborhood, and was ranked as one of the top 15 Chicago public elementary schools in 2018 by Chicago Magazine. Mitchell strives to meet the demands of our diverse student body and prepare students for the careers of tomorrow. With fewer than 400 students between preschool and 8th grade, each student at Mitchell receives the personal attention they need to succeed.
