The Friends of the Dallas Police requests a gift certificate/gift card to be used as a gift to be given to one of the Dallas Police Department's Division Officer of the Year Award recipients or a Top Department Award recipient such as Detective of the Year, Rookie of the Year, Reserve Officer of the Year, Field Training Officer of the Year, Supervisor of the Year or the Departmental Officer of the Year or Non-Sworn Employee of the Year. In addition, some of the in-kind donations will be used to put in a raffle or auction item package to raise money to go towards hosting special recognition events for DPD units receiving Meritorious Unit Awards. Donors will be recognized in the printed program, event signage and website.
