As advocates for the Library, FOHCL promote Library use and public support. We organize fund-raisers such as the annual Book Sale and Tricky Tray Basket Raffle, direct donation programs, and corporate grants. We sponsor an outreach program to bring the Library to the community as well as programs including Makers Day, Museum Pass, Makers Space, Manhattan Short Film Festival, 1000 Books Before Kindergarten, Nations and Cannons, movie nights, concerts and Books for the College Bound Scholarships. All fund-raising is supported through the efforts of our volunteers as we recognize that Libraries have become the new community centers for our citizens. A gathering place to bring people together.
