The Friends of the Marble Falls Library was established in 1965 to make financial contributions to the Marble Falls Public Library that directly fund community resources. The Friends is a non-profit organization that works closely with the library to provide programming, offer a supportive learning environment, expand and refresh materials, and provide accessible services. Programs include the annual Summer Reading Program, which encourages children to read through the summer months. This keeps children from experiencing a decline in reading and learning skills when school is not in session, and helps instill a lifelong passion for literacy.
