According to First Book children that have access to books over summer perform on average 35%-40% better than students that do not have access to them. The New River Library offers a summer reading program that encourages kids, teens, and adults to read over the summer. We do this by having educational, fun enrichment activities throughout the summer that are free to anyone in the community. Our Librarians are busy working on the branch’s launch of its Summer Reading Program with the theme of All together now. We are very excited to provide these educational programs during the summer.
