Friends of Jefferson (FoJ) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to enriching the educational experience of every student at Jefferson Elementary School, a Title I public school in San Diego, California. Our mission is to fund and support vital enrichment programs—such as Art, Garden, Dance, and after-school clubs—that are not covered by state or district budgets.
As a Title I school, Jefferson serves a diverse student body with significant economic need. FoJ helps bridge the funding gap by bringing together dedicated parents, volunteers, and sponsors to support teachers, nurture students, and create meaningful school-wide experiences like talent shows, cultural events, and teacher appreciation initiatives. Together, we aim to foster creativity, community, and lasting memories for every child.
