The Friends of Tri-City Animal Shelter work diligently to support the life-saving efforts of the Tri-City Animal Shelter & Adoption Center which serves the communities of Cedar Hill, DeSoto and Duncanville, Texas. Our efforts support emergency veterinary care, adoption campaigns, intake diversion campaigns, community outreach & transportation of animals to shelters in numerous areas of the U.S. Additionally, since 2015, the Friends have subsidized the spay/neuter program which has sterilized more than 10,000 animals.
In 2021, through our Capital Campaign which raised $500,000, a Lifesaving & Learning Center was opened on the Tri-City Animal Shelter campus. This facility houses our state-of-the-art Surgery Suite as well as quarantine rooms and office/meeting rooms. The shelter & the Friends work with the ASPCA and other animal welfare organizations to temporarily house animals who are in need of care due to unforeseen circumstances.
