The Friends of Tri-Valley Foundation was created in 1990 with the goal of providing support to Tri-Valley Developmental Services, Inc (TVDS).  TVDS provides residential, day, case management, employment and life enrichment services to indivdiuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD) in the the counties of Allen, Bourbon, Neosho, and Woodson in Southeast Kansas.  

Our mission is as follows:  "We are committed to the idea that people have the right to be active within their community.  Our mission is to offer a wide range of service choices, which meet individua needs, and povide opportunities ofr perosn with disabilities to achieve the quality of life they seek."  

Keeping with our mission statement, the Foundation's goals are to:

1.  Provide quality and affordable homes to individuals with I/DD;

2.  Encourage charitable giving which will aid in the delivery of quality services to individuals with I/DD;

3.  Establish and maintain a network of people who are interested in the issues and challenges associated with I/DD; and

4.  Foster public awareness and support to TVDS and the individuals they serve.
