Jacqueline Vaughn Occupational High school provides a specialized education for over 200 students with intellectual and developmental disabilities across Chicago. The students require specialized technology and extra support to help them across the necessary training and education to become independent and gain valueable job skills for post high school. Friends fo Vaughn sponsers fundraising to support the school misson. Fundraising will be used to purchase:
- assistive technology and online programs to support learning.
- costs to visit job training sites and as well as community based instruction.
- materials for inschool businesses that allow students to build job skills and be ready for training in the community.
- scholarships for students who need financial assistance to participate in extra-curricular activities.
