The purpose and mission of Friends of Walgrove is to actively raise funds and stimulate community support in order to provide quality school programs, enrichments, and other assistance for Walgrove Avenue Elementary School students, including those programs that are beyond the Los Angeles Unified School District (“LAUSD”) allocated budget. We believe all our students should have daily/weekly access to art, science, and PE, and FOW exists to fill that funding gap at Walgrove Elementary. Through generous parent donations and our yearly online/live auction, we are able to provide our students with theater, arts, outdoor education and a PE program they would not otherwise have.
