At some point in our lives, most of us have benefited from a community library. The Friends of Waukesha Public Library is a non-profit organization that works to expand, enhance, and promote the Library in many different ways, further strengthening our collective Waukesha community.  Here are a few programs we support~

Ø  Summer Reading Program Promotes reading for children, teens, and adults. With creative incentives and countless activities, the program keeps reading fun and interesting all summer long! The Friends provide funding to supply new books as prizes as well as other fun incentives to keep the community participating!

Ø  Waukesha Reads A program designed to stimulate young adult and adult readers who not only experience the book, but also enjoy an author visit, special themed presentations, and thought-provoking discussions throughout the city of Waukesha. The Friends not only fund the programming but also donate free books to all participants!

Ø  Support vital renovations   The Friends pledged $125,000 to help the library transform into a state-of-the-art facility for Waukesha’s next 125 years with a recent renovation project.  The library is now a bustling, comfortable space for everyone to learn how to create, cook, search, relax, connect, and explore!

And this is just a small sample of what we do! Please consider supporting the Friends so we can continue to provide funding to our extraordinary library that helps those not only in the city of Waukesha, but the surrounding community as well.
