Gable Heart Beats Foundation, a Bay Area non-profit heart organization with the mission of saving kids lives by providing free heart screenings for kids which includes and EKG and Echocardiogram. We also place AEDs in schools, parks and gyms where needed.
Gable Heart Beats (GHB), was started by a dear friend of mine, in the honor of my husband and daughter. My husband, age 38, passed away 10 years ago very suddenly from heart failure, a condition known as HCM (hypertrophic cardiomyopathy). Two weeks after my husband passed away, my daughter went into heart failure, but miraculously survived and suffers from DCM, dilated cardiomyopathy. She was 11 months old. Gable Heart Beats mission is to detect underlying heart issues in kids and have AEDs available in case of emergency.
We are having our event on February 8, 2020, at Crow Canyon Country Club in Danville, CA. It is going to be a dinner, cocktails, silent auction, live auction and dueling pianos to help raise money for our cause.
All the proceeds raised will help fund heart screenings for kids with an EKG and Echocardiogram or purchase AEDs.
