Garfield Elementary is a public elementary school in San Francisco serving children of diverse cultural and economic backgrounds. Offering three programs - General Education, Chinese Immersion, and Special Day Classes for Autism - in one cohesive community, Garfield provides our students with a joyful and well-rounded environment for them to learn and grow.
The mission of the Garfield Parent Teacher Organization is to provide volunteer and fundraising support to bridge the gap between what the San Francisco Unified School District provides, and the staffing and programming that make Garfield Elementary the special place that we and our students love. Some examples of what our PTO supports includes extra academic and literacy instructional support, the extracurricular performing arts program, classroom supplies, field trips, and community-building events.
