Unique Purpose: GateWay Community College provides access to higher education for diverse students and communities. We focus on learning through: University Transfer Education, General Education, Developmental Education, Workforce Development, Student Development Services, Continuing Education, Community Education, Civic Responsibility, Global Engagement.
Whom it serves: GateWay students are among the most disadvantaged in Maricopa County. More than 63% are first-generation college students and 40% represent an adult re-entry population more likely to have child care needs and family responsibilities that make college persistence challenging.
How: Scholarships and support services are how we help our students close the equity gap and persist to complete their education and enter the workforce.
