The mission of Georgia Adopt-A-Stream (AAS) is to create awareness of and involvement in the protection of Georgia's water resources through education and training of citizens in the monitoring of their waterways. At AAS, we have been very busy gearing up for our 11th annual conference and volunteer awards celebration, Confluence 2020.
Confluence is a conference that brings volunteers together from the headwater streams to the coastal estuaries to further educate them about our waterways and nonpoint source polluntion. Each year, our volunteers contribute around $500,000 volunteer-dollars to the state of Georgia, donating their own time to Georgia's waterways. This year's conference will be a great opportunity to share experiences, knowledge and advice, as well as honor their collective efforts that have positively influenced water quality accross the State of Georgia for over 20 years.
Adopt-A-Stream has partnered with the Environmental Education Alliance of Georgia on this statewide conference to allow our sponsors to take advantage of the 501(c)3 status of the Alliance. Please contact us if you have any questions or would like to join in the Confluence!
