Getting Ahead Foundation secures funding to support Getting Ahead in the Valley programs. This is a community iniative offered at no cost to low-income families who are ready to move from poverty toward stability. Work is done on micro and macro impacts of poverty. This happens during a 42-week, multi- phased program that focuses on building 11 esseential resources for  stable life. The program includes: 19- weeks of the Getting Aead in a Just Getting - By World curriculum, 6 sessions of Financial Literacy, 6 sessions of Penn State Extension's Nutrition Links, and on-going Staying Ahead Workshops for all graduates.

The program is offered at 3 locations in Northumberland County, PA. Enrolled families gain stability for a beter future and strengthens communities.
