Established in 2008 (and re-established in Chicago’s Northcenter Neighborhood in 2010), GiGi’s Playhouse Chicago is the model for an “urban storefront” location for all GiGi’s Playhouses. We change lives through the consistent delivery of free educational, therapeutic-based, and career development programs for individuals with Down syndrome, their families, and the community, through a replicable playhouse model.
Currently, GiGi's Playhouse Chicago is serving 700 families in the Chicagoland area! Catering to both children and adults with Down syndrome, GiGi’s Playhouse Chicago reaches out to the nation’s third-largest city, as well as many people living in the close-in “shoulder suburbs” of Chicago such as Park Ridge and Evanston.
GiGi’s Playhouse Chicago is committed to partnering with local businesses and organizations to further their overall mission: awareness, education, and celebration of individuals with Down syndrome within the Chicago community.
