What Girl Scouts learn today will solve tomorrow’s problems. They are the leaders and innovators that our future requires, and Girl Scouting gives them the tools they need to succeed. Girl Scouts of Central Texas is proud to support over 12,500 Girl Scouts in Central Texas (across 46 counties, as they explore, learn, and grow. Our mission is to help build girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place.
While most girls participate in Girl Scouting through traditional volunteer-led troops, GSCTX’s Community Programs reach girls in underserved communities who would otherwise be unable to participate. Through Community Programs, GSCTX reaches between 1,700 to 2,000 girls each year who would be unable to participate in Scouting due to the geographic, socioeconomic, and emotional challenges they face each day because of circumstances beyond their control. School-based programs address the entire K-12 progression delivered in partnership with local schools, school districts, and other community organizations.
W help girls develop the confidence and leadership skills that will get them into the rooms where decisions are made. With our community partners we help build a future with more women in the C-suite, in government, in STEM fields, and as entrepreneurs bringing more diverse voices to solve the world’s problems.
