The Gladys Allen Brigham Community Center has been in operation at our main site since 1911, supporting girls and their families through girl-focused programming. We are a multi-service organization empowering children and youth, with a special emphasis on girls, to become responsible, confident and personally fulfilled individuals. As an organization that responds to the reflective needs of the community, we opened our aquatics programming, childcare and afterschool youth to both genders, while maintaining our commitment to girls, and maintaining our affiliation in good standing with Girls Inc. National, as our flagship program Girls Inc. of the Berkshires. In fiscal year 2021 we supported 1340 youth an their families, with 65% identifying as female, 49% identifying as BIPOC, 44% of families living in households with an income of less than $25,000 a year, 56% of youth from single family households and 20% of the youth having a documented disability.
