The Glens Falls Civic Center Foundation is a 501 (c)(3) with the goal of providing funds for capital improvements to the Cool Insuring Arena. It was founded in June of 2003 by Paul Pontiff. Paul was a founding member of the Glens Falls Civic Center Foundation in 2003 because, like all of his charitable pursuits, he saw a need in the community and instinctively wanted to help. He had a vision to gather community leaders to devote their expertise and efforts to fundraising in support of capital projects at the Glens Falls Civic Center (now known as the Cool Insuring Arena).
Throughout the years since, the Glens Falls Civic Center Foundation has been able to raise funds to help support the upkeep of the Cool Insuring Arena. To name a few we have installed safety netting behind the hockey goals, added safety handrails, help fund for a new scoreboard, elevator maintenance and concession stand Point of Sale terminals.
We are looking for your support and asking for a donation. With the funds raised at this tournament, we can continue to help support the arena with upcoming projects like new rubber flooring for the locker rooms, new window graphics, new skate mats for each locker room and a new smoke machine.
