The Globe-Miami Chamber of Commerce is a 501 (c)6 nofprofit organization comprised of businesses seeking to further their collective interest, while advancing their community. Business owners and organizations voluntarily join by paying annual dues to be a member. Chamber missions vary but they all tend to focus to some degree on five primary goals: Building communities (region/states/nations) to which residents, visitors and investors are attraced; Promoting those communities; Striving to ensure future prosperity via a pro-business climate: Representing the unified voice of the employer community; and reducing transactional friction through well-functioning networks. Operated by a board of directors and paid staff members, as well as volunteers. Chambers of Commerce hold high ambition for sustained prosperity of their community/region, built on a thriving business community.
