The Goin’ Band Association is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that is composed of former members of the Goin’ Band from Raiderland at Texas Tech University. The Association volunteers their time to help prepare the band for the season ahead. Among the many areas we serve our beloved Goin’ Band from Raiderland are as follows:
Goin’ Band Association Scholarship Endowment: $20,000 in scholarships are awarded annually to participating members of the Goin’ Band. The scholarships are given to students that have excelled musically and shown strong leadership qualities in their respective high school bands. This past year 49 students were awarded a scholarship for the Gon’ Band Association.
· Summer Band cookout – Each summer as the Goin’ Band from Raiderland prepares for the upcoming Texas Tech football season the Goin’ Band Association feeds the 450+ students and faculty.
The Goin’ Band Association will hold its annual Silent Auction during Alumni Band Weekend. All proceeds of the silent auction are donated to the Goin’ Band Association Scholarship Endowment fund. To make this auction a success we are asking for your assistance with any donations – Product, Gift Cards or services. We appreciate your support of the Goin’ Band from Raiderland and the Goin’ Band Association.
