As a Licensed Recovery Residence for women, Good Shepherd Gracenter offers a path to successful recovery and community reintegration by addressing some of the major barriers faced by many substance abusers, such as the lack of a safe home, spirituality, education, social skills or a supportive social network. Without these, it is even more difficult for them to find a job and maintain housing and sobriety.
We at Good Shepherd Gracenter understand that recovery is a process that is unique to each woman. We provide an innovative program of a positive peer community with clean and sober housing, promotion of health and wellness practices, individual recovery mentoring, monthly life-skills classes and referrals to a variety of services. The large, home-like residence is located in San Francisco near public transportation.
