On behalf of the staff, parents, and students of Good Shepherd School in Garland, Texas, we are requesting your support for our upcoming Fiesta Night Auction on April 27, 2019. Of all the good causes you are asked to support, we respectfully request that you consider making a donation towards our event. It is because of generous donors like you that we are able to maintain high standards of academic excellence that benefit all students.
We are a self-supporting, coeducational, non-profit school which has offered an exemplary education to students in Pre-K through eighth grade for more than 60 years. We currently have 237 students enrolled in our school. More than 70% qualify for the Free and Reduced Lunch Program. We serve a minority population of Hispanic children with English as their second language. Our school struggles to support their needs. The funds generated in this event go towards ensuring the safety, protection, and well-being of our students and staff.
We are hoping to raise enough funds from our auction to upgrade our school security. All members of our community deserve to know that when they enter our 65-year-old building there is an effective school safety infrastructure verifying and identifying any risks from visitors or other dangers. Having this protection focuses on actions that protect students, teachers, staff, visitors, and property from any threat or hazard. Our school does not have enough in our budget to cover the full cost of the safety systems we need to fully protect our campus. We look forward to your partnership in improving the security we offer our community members.
We will acknowledge your contribution throughout our auction festivities, in our program and in pre-auction publicity. The families of Good Shepherd School and Parish will be encouraged to patronize your event. We expect about 250 guests.
Medieval Times can help us underwrite this event with a gift card donation that we can auction. We would appreciate receiving any donation from your business for our charity auction.
