The Robodox is a student-led robotics team striving to expand the reach of the STEM field within our communities and beyond through active industry skill development and community outreach. By exposing our 45 members to engineer solutions to real world problems such as developing a Pine Needle Bot and Pancake Bot, they are able to strengthen their skills in collaboration, critical thinking, leadership, and ingenuity. Also through building innovative robots for FRC and VEX competitions, our team is exposed to different real-world administrative and technical objectives. By attending regional and world competitions all over the country, we allow our members the unique opportunity to network with other engineers, learn to work in a fast-paced environment, test out their creativity, and learn to take initiative. Additionally, these robotic competitions offer a valued filled experience as the team goes through the entire process of coming up with an idea, prototyping, machining parts, assembling, and testing it out. Besides being a competitive team, we are proud to be an active advocate for educating and spreading STEM to the youth. We are able to accomplish this principle by our several initiatives such as creating robotic teams in elementary and middle schools known as FLL teams, hosting panels as well as workshops in partnership with professional organizations such as Northrop Grumman, and doing live demos of our robot by going to schools and fairs. Our outreach programs have reached 2,000+ kids across California. We also work to bring the STEM world to underserved communities internationally such as establishing programs in the Philippines where we mentor 200+ students and teach them engineering skills. Join us in our mission to engineer a brighter future for the next generation of leaders and innovators.
