We are a non-profit foster based rescue. Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome Great Pyrenees given up for adoption or rescued from local shelters. The club was founded in 1966 and incorporated as a 501c3 in 2008.We rely soley on donations and fundraisers for income.Last year we took in 48 dogs and adopted out 36. We currently have 26 in foster homes now. All dogs are thoroughly vetted and evaluated before being placed for adoption. Average costs is $500 to $600 per dog. We occasionally pay for private training for our dogs if a behavior comes up that the foster cannot handle. We also at this time have 2 forever fosters that because of age and medical conditions cannot be adopted out. We do however have wonderful volunteers who take these dogs into their homes and give them a good life for whatever time they have left.
