Seeking to put God’s love into action, Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities, and hope. We are a nonprofit organization that helps families build and improve places to call home. We believe affordable housing plays a critical role in strong and stable communities. Habitat works together with families, local communities, volunteers, and partners from around the world so that more people are able to live in affordable and safe homes. We accomplish this mission through our Homeownership program, where we build homes from the ground up to pair with a low income family. This family is required to volunteer to help build their home through sweat equity hours, take part in homeownership and financial literacy classes, and pay a fixed mortgage rate based on their income level. We also promote better, sustainable living through our ReStore locations and Critical Home Repair program.
