We are dedicated to eliminating substandard housing locally and worldwide through constructing, rehabilitating and preserving homes; and by providing training and access to resources to help families improve their shelter conditions. Families partner with Habitat for Humanity of Sumner County to build better lives for themselves and their children. We provide a pathway to homeownership through our New Construction Program. Through our Critical Home Repairs Program, we provide products and services that foster safe, livable homes and communities to improve the quality of life for older adults, veterans and disabled. We select homeowners as partners based on three foundational principles: the need for adequate shelter, the ability to pay an affordable 0% interest loan and willingness to partner with Habitat. The families we serve are living on fixed incomes below 80% area median income and face serious housing issues that pose a significant risk to their health and well-being.
