Habitat's Mission: We Build, Renovate, and Repair Houses in our Community. Seeking to put God's love into action, Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities, and hope by helping partners achieve their goals of owning a home and helping those who own a home to preserve and repair it.

Everyone needs a foundation for the future. Our vision is a world where everyone has a decent place to live. Our Home Buying, Home Preservation and Neighborhood Revitalization Programs move us toward this vision in Greene County.

Homebuying Program - Our homebuying program provides a unique opportunity for families or individuals to build or renovate and buy a home to be their own through a 0% APR loan.

Home Preservation Program - We don't just put people in homes. we also keep people in homes by partnering with homeowners to alleviate critical health and safety issues by completing needed home improvement projects.

Neighborhood Revitalization - Improving the quality of life in Woodland Heights Neighborhood through housing, beautification, building community, and health and safety.

Tools for Life Classes - Habitat for Humanity is known for building houses, but we provide our partner families with far more than just a roof over their heads. We help our partner families develop a full set of tools to craft a brighter future. Each partner homebuyer must complete Tools for Life courses that will empower them with necessary skills and prepare them for responsibilities that come with homeownership. Classes cover a range of topics in financial education, health, handling emergencies, and everything in between. These classes are free and open to the public.

Volunteers - Habitat for Humanity welcomes volunteers and they are critically important to futhering our mission. They help us keep our construction costs down, ultimately reducing the homebuyers' loans! Construction skills ar not necessary, we'll teach them everything they need to know. Our Habitat Restore encourages volunteers to help with custome service, organizing shelves, cleaning and unloading donations.

Habitat Boad of Directors - The Board of Directors has the principal responsibility for the fulfillment of the mission of Habitat Springfield and the legal accountability for its operations. The Board is in charge of forming the strategic plan in line with the mission, overseeing and evaluating the plan's success, ensuring financial solvency of the organization, and instituting a fair system of policies and procedures for volunteer and personnel management.

Habitat Springfield Committees - Lend your specialized knowledge to Habitat for Humanity mission and join a committee. Committees include: construction, law, land acquisition, marketing, neighborhood revitalization, partner advocacy, ReStore, and special events.

Donations help support our Habitat and are helping us build a stronger community.
